Why Finding Things Simply
My name is Rena. I am for the first time in twenty years, no longer a student. This is my break from school and entry into the great unknown. I do not have a position to discuss, nor do I have school to talk about. For the summer, I am a friend, a wife, a sister, and a daughter but have no other descriptions except part time positions that will get my husband and I through.
It is at this point that I realized that the blog needs to be called finding things simply, for one summer, I will find things simply. For the past six years I have been working with people all day, everyday, and looking forward to the rest of my life in the people field. Over the course of this time I have met and found companionship with many sisters and brothers and have learned just how truly intricate God’s creation is. . This is my way of taking a step back at the world and looking at things simply. Not too many deep thoughts or new ideas will come from this blog, but rather things that I have seen or events that have occurred that help me look at life through a less complicated lens.

Much of this is no longer true. I am currently a student (while it is only one class, and not quite pursuing a degree at this point), I am and have been employed for over a year to a wonderful College at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. However, even with all these changes and activities, I am constantly reminded of the simple things, a fun walk with my dog, a good conversation with my loving husband, an amazing mother and father whom I love dearly constantly checking in and encouraging me, and good friends, who even through long distances are always by my side, and ultimately, a great God who has given me all these blessings, that I cannot help but be reminded to take stock in even the simple things in life.
